First Friday Art Walk Begins the 2008 Season
Come downtown on Friday, April 5, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., and celebrate longer days and snowless streets with some of the best art and artists' venues to be found anywhere! The Flathead has long inspired artists and craftspeople, and all winter they have been busy with new work. Come downtown this Friday and reacquaint yourself with some of the Flathead's best artists -- right here in Kalispell!
- Paint, Metal & Mud @ 161 1st St. West. features “Spring Fever” themed pastel paintings, photographs and hand-crafted jewelry by Linda Sole. There will be a public reception featuring all twelve of the gallery’s members works including: Kelly Apgar, Doug Dye, Jane Latus Emmert, JoAnne Greig, Pat Jones, Mary Kelley, Pat Nelson, Cheryl Ross, Linda Sole, Andrew Speer, Pia and Michaela Eaves. Refreshments will be served. Located next to Alley Connection in the Kalispell Grand Hotel.

- Sassafras @120 Main will be welcoming new artists Brooke Nash with hand poured 100% soy wax candles, Heidi Haugen with functional and decorative stoneware, and Linda Sole with Pastels, Prismacolor, Photography and Jewelry. Shelle Lindholm also joins us as a Guest Artist for April -June. Shelle's prints, giclees and originals of wildlife, Biblical scenes and calligraphy will be exhibited. Refreshments will be served.
